In the epic battle between God Indra and the evil king Mayadenawa, the king used deception to escape. One of his strategies was to create a toxic spring to hinder God Indra's forces. However, God Indra, with his divine power, struck the ground with his sacred spear, creating a new, clean, and holy spring. This spring is now known as "Tirta Empul". The water healed God Indra's forces and led to the defeat of Mayadenawa, who was ultimately punished for his wickedness.

At that time, they were exploring the natural beauty of Sebatu Village when they arrived at a small waterfall with crystal-clear flowing water. As they decided to bathe there, something strange happened. The moment the water touched their bodies, the once-clear water suddenly turned murky. Frightened, the tourists quickly left the site.
